The Roche Family are the wine makers and owners of Roche Wines; Penelope Roche has six generations of French wine making in her blood. After the husband and wife team found their perfect terroir in Penticton, the Roches collaborated with People plus space to design an approximately 4,000 sq.ft. winery. The facility provides adequate space for fermentation, tank and barrel storage, case good storage, and second floor offices which overlook the vineyard. The siting of the building was intended to provide a ‘nestled in the vineyard’ feeling with a beautiful view up the mountain. The modern lines of the building are contrasted with quaint and French inspired materials, such as old rustic wood doors, terracotta flooring and wildflower landscaping. The owners wanted to raise their family rooted in the wine making culture and have since expanded on the property to provide living quarters.
