About

People + Space was founded on a simple belief: spaces should always be designed around the people who use them.
Since establishing the studio in 2013, I’ve had the opportunity to work on residential and commercial projects throughout the Okanagan and beyond, bringing together my background in interior design, land-use planning and development to create spaces that are thoughtful, functional and distinctly personal.
Over the years, People + Space has grown and evolved. More recently, I made the intentional decision to return to my roots and work independently. For me, it means getting back to what I love most about design — working closely with my clients, understanding how they want to live or work within a space, and being personally involved throughout the entire process.
Today, when you work with People + Space, you work directly with me.
From the first conversation and early planning through detailed drawings, finishes and project coordination, I remain closely involved in every project. This allows me to provide a more personal and consistent experience while ensuring the original design intent carries through from concept to completion.
My approach combines creative thinking with practical planning. With experience in land-use planning, urban development, architectural design and interior design, I’m able to look at a project as a whole — from how a property is planned and a building functions to how the finished space ultimately feels for the people using it.
My work has been shaped by my time living in Shanghai, China, as well as projects and clients in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and throughout the Okanagan.
I hold a Master of Planning in Urban Development from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design (Honours) from Algonquin College in Ottawa.
At its core, People + Space is still exactly what the name suggests: creating thoughtful spaces around the people who inhabit them.
